1. Papuma Beach
The name of Papuma is referring to Pantai Putih Malikan or white sandy beach. Those who are visiting Papuma beach will have a great time sun-bathing or walking over the white sandy path and enjoying the sunset. Besides its natural scenic beauty, Papuma is also rich in exotic animals, such as the lizard, forest cock, various birds, wild pig, deer porcupine, scaly anteater, and many others.
Papuma Cape Coast is located in the district of Ambulu and Wuluhan, Jember, East Java. Papuma beach is a very exotic beach compared to the existing beaches in East Java, because of its beautiful and charming sea by having turquoise color tone ocean and a very fine white sand. Hence, it makes Papuma become affordable beach that can be visited in East Java. The tourists, both from local and foreign will enjoy the experience in Papuma beach.
Furthermore, by visiting Papuma beach, the visitors can rent a boat to explore the ocean closer while enjoying the sunrise. The coral reef and the tropical forest around the beach will also enchant the sightseeing after the Siti Hinggil and Goa Lawa.
Siti Hinggil is a coral rock with a height of around 50 m above sea level. The visitors can see Papuma’s beach attraction from above. While, Goa Lawa or Lawa Cave, it has 30 m depth and can be achieved at low tide. According to the legend, this cave was the place south sea ruler’s daughter “Dewi Sri Wulan” and the imprisoned place of Kyai Mataram.
2. Renteng Plantation Park
Renteng Plantation is part of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XII (PTPN XII) located in Jenggawah – Jember, East Java. About 30 minutes drive from downtown Jember. Renteng Plantation is one of the tours in the city of Jember which is known as the Educational Tourism Coffee and Cocoa Beans Research Center.
In this garden there are several interesting places, namely:
Wooden cars used to surround the research centre for coffee beans and cocoa beans
Small-scale factory processing coffee beans and cocoa.
Outlets and cafes that are used to sell plantation products both in factory-processed and ready-to-eat packages.
Coffee and cocoa beans produced at the Renteng Plantation have been sold to foreign countries. The types of coffee beans that are cultivated are robusta coffee and arabica coffee.
3. Payangan Beach
Payangan beach on a cluster of Indonesian Ocean with naturally beautiful scenery is part of three beaches in coastal Watu Ulo areas. Payangan has black sand with some grass growing on the edge of the beach. In the midst of the beach, you can find gorgeous stones and savanna on the southern side as well as the parking of fishing boats of Payangan fishermen that lined up neatly. This beach has one island, three hills, and four beaches. This a hidden beach that very beautiful. Situated in Payangan hamlet, Sumberejo village, Ambulu district, Jember regency of East Java.
The activities you can do at the beach this is coastal fishing, swimming and enjoying grilled fish which will be the offer of some vendors around the beach with a variety of marine fish and playgrounds for the visitors. There is also a centre sale of fresh fish to bring home. You can also enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise moment in Payangan beach. You can visit this beach with your friends or families to explore your travel.
The beach can be reached by using two or four-wheeled vehicles. For the travel routes, you can go from the town of Jember towards Ambulu. After reaching Ambulu intersection, you can follow the way instructions to Watu Ulo then you will arrive at Payangan Beach.
